ticket for FOOD DESIGN dec 2007 until feb 2008

my cousin took me to the "food design" exhibition at the designforum vienna (MQ). In the back of this photo you can see some bottles that had differnt essences inside, and one could smell, and guess what it was.

the first room was set up to give the visitor an impression of the senses and their perception. so a big part of taste is i.e. the smell of food, aswell as the consitency of it.

also the color of food gives us an idea of how tasty it will be and about the grade of freshness and nutrition worth.

further is the sound an important indicator for taste.

photo of the text quoted,

the fact of making products divisible is very important. people like to share.

the "brezel" is indicating the praying position, monks used to have. for they used to cross their arms to do so. the latin word "bracchium" has the meaning of "arm". which is probably the root of its name.
